A Near Perfect Weekend

So I'm finally getting around to posting about our Labor Day Weekend.  It was near perfection, with a great balance of productivity, fun, and relaxation, time with friends and time with just us and our little family.  It also didn't hurt that Will took Friday off, so we had FOUR WHOLE DAYS!

On Friday, we went to the beach at the lake first thing so Benjamin could play in the water again.

Then we all came home and took a nap!  After which, we headed to the New York State Fair...

I don't know that Benjamin completely understood what all the hoopla was about, do you?  But Will and I accomplished our main objective ... DINNER!  Corn dog and funnel cake - isn't that really the whole point of the fair?

I must reveal that this photo was taken right before a big gust of wind blew powdered sugar all over me ... shirt, bag, face, hair, everywhere.  So I was forced to walk around the rest of the evening looking a bit like a 12-year-old.  :)

The remainder of the weekend afforded quality time with good friends, both in town and out, and lots of enjoying the pretty weather, as well as lots of cooking for me and homework for Will.

And here we are again, ready for another weekend ... where did this week go?
